History of Afrinvest Securities Limited Stockbrokers in Nigeria
Afrinvest started out in 1994 as Securities Transactions & Trust Company (Nigeria) Limited (SecTrust) and it expanded into becoming a leading integrated research and an asset management firm in Nigeria. Ever since then, SecTrust has developed a strong bond and established a close relationship with its London-based partners (Afrinvest Limited), which also happens to be an investment banking firm which is regulated by the United Kingdom Financial Services Authority (“FSA”).
After the commencement of its business restructuring in 2005, the Securities Transactions & Trust Company (Nigeria) Limited (SecTrust) allied with the Nigeria-based corporate finance firm of Afrinvest (UK) Limited.
This move of business restructuring was concluded in December 2005 and this resulted in the renaming of SecTrust as Afrinvest (West Africa) Limited.
